Designing a website is like designing a custom home.

Does the space compliment the inhabitant? Does the decor suit the purpose of the space? Do the rooms connect in a logical and useful way?

Consider the needs of the resident, their character, and their customer.
Then create a space that is more than a series of buttons and text.
Create a space that serves as a personal introduction.

The original website for Forrest Studios was built in 2000.

The site's main purpose was to be a portfolio. The navigation is logical and straightforward.

The style of the website reinforces my own aesthetic. The clean and simple mixed with the rough and hand-made. The human's fingerprint is visible on the thing he has made.

Global Healthcare Resources was a new branch of a young company in a market that had never seen its name. The company's primary goal was to find nurses in Asia, and give them jobs in America.

The website needed to inform professionals in the medical field including US Hospital Administrators and simultaneously Asian Nurses and their families.

The information was kept as simple as possible. The website had to support the myriad printed materials for Global. The site had sections for both nurses and hospital administrators. The site was designed to support expansion and growth of the business.

Because Global's work spanned several countries, the website was often the first interface for the client. All of Global's presentation materials were made available in downloadable, printable PDFs on the website. The website became a virtual office for client and customer.

Mikhaila is an artist. She has a unique style and a unique gift in the way she creates art.

She requested a website that was simple and straightforward, while also expressing her personality. She needed a space where people could come in and take their time to look around, to view the gallery at their own pace, as if walking through her studio.

The website's purpose is also to help Mikhaila sell her talents. It also serves to inform people of her upcoming workshops. Her customers can get to know her before they meet in person.

The website receives regular updates as the Artist's work and business evolves.
